Kate Carr Inducted into DMAW 2018 Hall of Leaders
Kate Carr, Silver Marketing Executive Vice President, has been inducted into the DMAW Hall of Leaders as its 2018 awardee. This is the highest honor given by the DMAW. Kate’s induction was at DMAW’s Best of Direct awards ceremony at the National Press Club.
To be chosen to receive this award, an individual must have made notable achievements in direct marketing, be recognized as someone whose dedication, involvement, and participation in DMAW is exceptional, and have significantly contributed to increasing knowledge and advancing the careers of other direct marketing professionals.
“Kate so richly deserves this award,” says Pat Silver, President of Silver Marketing. “Kate has developed hundreds of direct programs and campaigns for major marketers. In addition to being an incredible strategic marketing executive, she has given an enormous amount of time to the direct marketing industry as a leader who makes a significant difference with every challenge and task she undertakes. She has mentored many young people in the industry—both as our Executive Vice President and through DMAW. The impact she has made on Silver Marketing is enormous. We are so proud that her abilities and impact were recognized with this honor.”
Kate is celebrating her 22nd year with Silver Marketing. Her many achievements include managing direct and interactive marketing programs for organizations such as The Washington Post, AARP, APA, AOPA, and Ringling Bros. (to name a few) for which she has received multiple MAXI, Marcom, and Communicator Awards. Kate currently serves on the DMAW Board of Directors, with responsibilities that include DMAW AdVents and DMAW blogs. In addition, she served on the DMAW Education Foundation for 12 years and was involved with Leadership Circle.
The Hall of Leaders Award recognizes industry excellence and has been awarded to people such as Richard Viguerie (1972), Austin Kiplinger (1987), Pat Silver (2000), and Hal Malchow (2013). DMAW is the largest regional direct marketing association in the US.
